If you want to gain the skills and acumen necessary for a career in local or regional business, consider studying Regional Commerce at UA South. Students earning their Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership and Regional Commerce with a Regional Commerce emphasis study small business and entrepreneurship. Courses focus on marketing, business growth and development, the role of tourism and entertainment in bolstering a local or regional economy, and service and trade. In addition to traditional classroom lecture and coursework, students gain experience and build skill through internships, research projects and business plan development. The program also offers networking opportunities as students work alongside local business development professionals, leaders and economists. Graduates find roles with government entities and private businesses or they may even start their own enterprises.
