The integrated atmospheric and hydrologic sciences degree allows students to focus on a subplan of choice. Atmospheric scientists are on the front lines of those battling climate change and the impacts of severe weather on at-risk communities. Students earning a Bachelor of Science in Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences can choose the Atmospheric Sciences emphasis, which focuses on analyzing weather and climate, forecasting, and assessing the effects on the planet and people. Adhering to the requirements of the National Weather Service, the American Meteorological Society and the World Meteorological Organization, this major translates to a variety of careers, including work for large corporations, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.
